William Babcock, 54, died at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction. He was the son of Rupert Aldon and Ruth A. (Call) Babcock.

Mr. Babcock grew up in Bethel and lived in Brandon after his discharge from the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Post 29 American Legion in Brandon and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Chapin; a brother, Robert; and three sisters, Blenda LaRock, Barbara Lambert, and Elaine Dyer.
