WELLSBURG, W. Va. — Robert H. Barr, 73, of Hedges Drive in Wellsburg, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Marion Maron in Follansbee, W. Va.
He was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Wadestown, W. Va., a son of the late Clem and Bertha C. Barr. He is preceded in death by his first wife Clara Jo Barr.
He was a retired pipe fitter from Weirton Steel Corp. and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Barr was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland and Brooke Hills Free Methodist.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Barr of Wellsburg; four sons, Robert Barr of Charlestown, S.C., David Barr of Charlestown, S.C., Donald Barr of New Cumberland and Daniel Barr of New Cumberland; seven stepchildren Larry Ensminger of Colliers, W. Va., Eddie Ensminger of Follansbee, W. Va., Myra Porter of Las Vegas, Michael Ensminger of Wellsburg, W. Va., Wayne Ensminger of Follansbee, W. Va., Scott Ensminger of Colliers, W. Va. and Denise Hendrickson of Wellsburg, W. Va.; four grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Paston Elwood Daugherty officiating. Military services will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Wadestown Cemetery in Wadestown, W. Va.
