Excerpt--Hazel Virginia Ayersman Murray, 74, of Morgantown, died May 5, 1977, at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1902, in Monongalia County, a d/o the late Luke and Louise Murray Nicholson. Survivors include her husband, Lester L. Murray; two sons, Howard E. Ayersman of Rock Forge and Kenneth M. Ayersman of Core; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Maxon of Morgantown and Mrs. William (Juanita) Hagedorn of Point Marion, Pa.; two step-sons, Franklin Murray of Clyde, Ohio and Fred Murray of Morgantown; three step daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Myrtle) Goodwin of Morgantown, Mrs. Wanda Dailey of Morgantown, and Mrs. Ernest (Loretha K.) Rice of Lorian, Ohio; four brothers, Glenn Nicholson of Herring, Bob and Herb Nicholson, both of Kingwood, and Avle Nicholson of Reedsville; three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Garlet of Kingwood, Mrs. Mabel Metheny of Reedsville and Mrs. Dora Groves of Masontown. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Eugene Ayersman, three brothers and two sisters. Burial was in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
