Freda F. Baker, died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She was born March 3rd, 1924 a daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Minnie Tennant Varner. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, she retired as a glass worker after 20 years with Seneca Glass in Morgantown. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 548 Morgantown and of American Flint Glass Workers Union.
She is survived by a son and spouse, Raymond H. and Belinda Baker, of Belington; four grandchildren, Michael J. Baker, Michelle Strohminger, Moriah and Sarah Baker and three great grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Delmar Baker, in February 1995; two brothers, Raymond Varner and Fred Varner; and three sisters, Peg Mayfield, Audrey Wisniewski and Ethel Hagedorn.
Burial was at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
