Koreen E. Andershonis, 49, of Frackville, passed away peacefully Monday evening at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville, with her family by her side.
Born in Pottsville, Nov. 27, 1967, and raised in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Rita McCoach Kimmel.
Koreen was a member of Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville.
She attended Schuylkill Haven schools and enjoyed traveling and taking care of her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Kimmel, and a nephew, Jeremy Lawell.
Koreen is survived by her husband of 13 years, Stanley D. Andershonis, Frackville; a daughter, Rachel Andershonis, Bensalem; a son, Harold Heffner, Schuylkill Haven; four sisters, Anita Potts, Pottsville, Sheila Lawell, Schuylkill Haven, JoAnn Klinger, Friedensburg, and Kathy Artz, Valley View; her beloved dog, Katie; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville, with the Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Koreen's name to the American Cancer Society , 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931. Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
