DECEASED NAME: JOHN LAVERNE ABBOTT
John Laverne Abbott, son of Roy E. and Mary Abbott, was born Nov. 13, 1924, near Viola, Idaho. He departed from this life March 30, 1927, from measles and a complication of diseases at the home of the mother's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Stilwell, where they were spending the winter, making the trip by auto, arriving the first of September last year and expect to start for their Idaho home about May 1st 1927.
John Lavern was a stout, rugged wide awake baby boy of 2 years, four months and 12 days. He was the pride of his parents and all who knew him. He leaves three brother, Eldon, of Viola, Idaho; Howard and Nelson who are with their parents here at this time, and one grandfather, John Abbott of Melcher, for whom the little one was named, Grandma Keith who is now 89 years old. Also many relatives and friends who will greatly miss his smiling face and baby prattle.
John Laverne was laid by the side of his grandmother Abbott, who was buried eleven years ago that day, in West Cemetery.
Funeral services were held in the Dallas Christian Church at 10 A. M. Thursday, by Bro. M. F. Dawson, pastor.
