Betty Joyce Hill Bond, 80, of Royston, GA passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Bond was born on January 16, 1937, in Royston, GA, daughter of the late Loyd Hill and the late Myrtle Sheridan Hill. She was the owner and operator of Betty’s Store for forty years and attended Franklin Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton E. Bond; grandson, Jess Carey; brothers, F. C. Hill and Bill Hill; sisters, Ann Hendrix, Margie Horne and Dorothy Fowler.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna (David) Canady of Carnesville, GA and Deborah Bond of Royston, GA; grandson, Shane Carey; great grandchildren, Hunter Carey and Case Carey; step granddaughters, Hope Thompson and Ashley Canady; step grandson, Blake Canady; step great grandchildren, Kylee and Layton; sisters, Mary Donna Carey and Brenda Lunsford, both of Royston, GA and Martha McKern of Canon, GA.
Funeral services will be held at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Bert Synan and Rev. David Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennington Chapel U.M.C. Cemetery.
