Darla Rea Abreu, 70, of Boise, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in her home of natural causes. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel.

Darla Rae Abreu was born on November 22, 1945 to Lewis Wesley Woods, Jr. and Helen Hunt in Elko, Nevada. Darla passed away on August 31, 2016 from her health problems while she was at her home. She has struggled with numerous health issues for much of her life.

She was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended elementary and high school in various different states in the U.S.A. as her father was serving in the US Air Force.

While her father was stationed in Southern California, she graduated from high school in Camarillo, California. She then attended Brigham Young University in Utah. While living in Camarillo, CA, she met her future husband, Keith P. Abreu at a church dance and fell in love. They were later married and sealed for all time and eternity in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.
While Keith joined and served in the US Air Force, they were blessed with two wonderful children, Brian K. Abreu and Lisa M. Carter.

Keith and Darla were always active members of the Church and also in the Air Force, after being stationed at several different places in the world, and after 23 active military years, Keith retired from the Air Force and they settled down in Boise, Idaho.
Darla has been preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, David. She is survived by her husband, Keith; her children, Brian K. Abreu and Lisa M. Cater; three brothers and their families, Buzz, DJ, and Chip.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the Colehaven Ward LDS Chapel, located at 1111 S. Cole Rd., Boise. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Relyea Funeral Chapel located at 318 N. Latah St., Boise, and on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM at the church prior to the services. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM in the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery.
