Pauline Abrahams left this world to join her beloved husband, LaVern, on Aug. 3, 2002, at 72 years of age.
Pauline was born in Pactola, S.D., on Aug. 12, 1929, to Helen and Eddie Wilder. She graduated high school in 1943. Pauline married her husband, LaVern, in 1950 in Rapid City, S.D., where they lived and raised their three children, Donald, Robert and Kathleen, until 1966, when they moved to Billings.
Pauline was a very caring person and liked to spend her time finding bargains at garage sales, canning vegetables from her garden, doing her embroidery and sewing and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVern; her parents; brothers, Kenny and Harold; sisters, Genevieve and Velma. Survivors include her three children, Donald (Sherry) Abrahams of Huntley, Robert (Debbie) Abrahams of Billings and Kathy (David) Sparks of Billings. Also surviving are her grandchildren, James, Kim, J.R., Tammy, Angela, Justin, David, Becky, Stephanie, Rachel, Tiffany, Brandy and Brittany; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Keegan, Kelsey, Blake, Jordan, Brittney, Bo and Ayden; also two sisters, Donna (Bud) Ickes and Geraldine Hill of Rapid City; and her brother Marlow (Doris) Wilder of Newell, S.D.
She made us play-doh and mac & cheese. She took care of our scrapes and put Band-Aids on our knees. She made us blankets and clothes and took a Kleenex to our runny noses. She was our grandma and we loved her dear, but now she is in a better place far away, but yet so near.
Services will be held at Smith Downtown Chapel 10 a.m. Aug. 7. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice; 123 S. 27th, Billings, MT 59101.
