Carol Allison, 75, of Live Oak passed away at home Sunday, March 13, 2011, of natural causes. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, she moved to Live Oak at age 13. She worked as a legal secretary for over 40 years, retiring from the former Airth, Sellers, and Lewis firm after having also worked at law practices in Jacksonville and Lake City. A dedicated church member, she served as church clerk for Antioch Baptist Church for 35 years. Survivors include a son, Jay Allison, and his partner Carl Parker, of Carrollton, Texas, a daughter, Lisa Allison Kriehn and her husband, Tom, of Live Oak; three grandchildren, Steven (Wendy) Summers, Allison Kelli Burkett, and Jordan Emily Allison; and four great-grandchildren, Eric Summers and Kayli, Trenna, and Trent Burkett. She is also survived by three brothers, Donald Wagoner and Charles and Mickey Delegal, and two sisters, Amanda Clark and Dorothy Kaproki. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon Allison, a brother, Robert Wagoner, and a grandson, John Michael Summers. Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Daniels funeral home. Services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in the Suwannee Station Baptist Church with Hugh Dampier and Wilbur Wood officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that people make donations to Love, INC., P. O. Box 1315, Live Oak, FL 32064.
