Albert E. Baumgarten, 54, from south of Reedsburg, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Herman Licht of North Freedom.

Albert was born on September 25, 1890 in the town of Westfield, Sauk county, Wisconsin and passed away on March 8, 1945 following a heart attack.

On Jan. 1,1914 he was united in marriage to Ella Uphoff in Ableman by the Rev. F. Popp. To this union four children were born.

He lived in the town of Westfield until 1920 when they moved to the town of Reedsburg, where he spent the rest of his life.

Surviving him are his wife and the following children: Mrs. A.R. Ball, Chicago; Gilbert Baumgarten, Ableman; Mrs. O.A. Palenshus, North Freedom; Oscar Baumgarten, Loganville. He is also survived by the following sisters; Mrs. John Elfers, Loganville, Mrs. Julius Elfers, Reedsburg, Mrs. Herman Licht, North Freeedom.
