Mrs. Dora Baumgarten of Loganville, passed away at the Municipal hospital on Saturday, March 19, at the age of 80 years.
She fell several weeks ago while she was at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Elfers, and broke her hip.
She was brought to the hospital here where she had been cared for since the accident. Funeral services were held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville on Tuesday afternoon, March 22 and interment was made in the Loganville cemetery. Rev. Carl Stubenvoll conducted the last rites. Pallbearers were Edwin Elfers, Gerhardt Elfers, Martin Baumgarten, Herbert Baumgarten, Gilbert Baumgarten and Norman Licht.

Katherina Dorothea Maria Elisa Hamburg was born in Kirchweyhe, Hanover, Germany on November 16, 1857. She came to this country and directly to this community in 1868. She lived near Reedsburg until 1873 when she moved to the town of Franklin where she made her home since. On October 26, 1873 she was married to William Baumgarten in Reedsburg. To this union three daughters and two sons were born. A son, William, and her husband preceded her in death. Her husband passed away on December 17, 1910. Surviving their mother are Mrs. John Elfers, Loganville; Mrs. Julius Elfers, Loganville; Albert Baumgarten, Ableman and Mrs. Herman Licht, North Freedom.
