The 1880 census in Grass Valley listed E. R. Abraham age 30, wife Martha age 29, son Albert E. (Edwin) age 8, daughter Mary E. (Emma, married name Rowe) age 6, Lillie M. (could be Lillie May Stacy buried in Grass Valley City Cemetery) age 4, and Jane (Jennie) age 2.

The CA Death Index has death year as 1913 but it is 1917 as Edwin Richard Abraham is listed in April of 1917 in the Wills and Probate Records of Nevada County and his obituary in the newspaper is dated May 2 1917 (The Morning Union, Grass Valley Calif). He mentions his home in Grass Valley on Winchester Street, and the Declaration of Homestead of Minnie H. Abraham, application of homestead recorded July 28, 1915. Minnie H. was the second wife of Edwin, as Martha (Berryman) had died in 1900. The will mentions his son Albert E. Abraham, daughter Jennie Lambrecht find a grave #50305977, daughter Mary E. Rowe to share in equal shares of the property. Minnie died May 4, 1917 not long after his death and is buried at Rough and Ready. Her family may have been located in this town.
