APEL, ELIZABETH, nee Bigham, "Libby," 40, of Winter Park, passed away in her parents' home in Charlotte, NC after a 5-year bout with ovarian cancer on Sept. 21, 2009. She is survived by her husband Lorn, son Micah and daughter Eliza, her parents Lee & June
Bigham, sisters Dottie Bigham and Teresa Hanes and brother Lee Bigham, Jr. as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and many loving friends. Libby loved her family and loved her Lord, serving Him for ten years as a missionary in Hungary with Campus Crusade for Christ and for five years at Campus Crusade's headquarters in Orlando, FL. Libby's love of life, caring attitude and dedication to people, caused her to have many deep friendships and so was loved by many around the world. A memorial celebration will be held Sunday, Sept. 27 at 2:00 p.m. Orlando Baptist Church, 500 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando, FL 32807. Memorials can be given to the International
Christian School of Budapest, making a check payable to "ABWE" and sending it to ABWE, P.O. Box 8585,
Harrisburg, PA 17105. Please put "Account #: 075711" on the check's memo line; or to Appalachian Mission Trip Fund, Christian Education Ministries, ARP Center, One Cleveland St, Suite 110, Greenville, SC 29601. For both gifts include a note saying it is in memory of Libby Apel.
