Teresa was the oldest of fourteen children, who quit school at an early age to help her parents raise her younger siblings. On September 20, 1956 she married the love of her life, Willie. Together they traveled the world during his 21 year military career. She also played second base in the Women's Air Force Softball League, sparking her love of sports, particularly tennis and bowling. Following her husband's military career, she worked as a professional seamstress, often making her children's clothing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends and lived life to the fullest. But her true passion in life was her family and her faith. A longtime parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, she also taught catechism, and was a member of the St. Bernadette Adoration Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Jesusita H. Holguin; and four siblings, Lydia Holguin, Hector Holguin, Jose Holguin, and Alberto Holguin.
