Mrs. Ella is survived by her three sons, Bill Douglas Ford and his wife, Nita, of Whitehall, AR., Larry Clark Ford and his wife, Dallas, of Wiggins, MS., and Henry Joseph Ford and his wife, Janice, of Whitehall, AR.; four daughters, Nancy Sistrunk of Maurice, Joan Claire Doggett of Maurice, Ruth Campbell and her husband, Charles, and Vicki Ford of Jennings; seven sisters, Pearl Duplantis, Bella DeRouche, Ruth Hebert, Grace Zeringue, Shirley Alleman, Dorothy Hebert, and Lillie Allemon; thirty grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, and twenty four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Elec Ford; her daughter, Betty Hankins; her step son, John Wayne Ford; her father, Henry Joseph Lirette; her mother, Lillie Mae LeBeauf Lirette; four brothers, Paul, Ralph, Herbert, and Avery Lirette and a sister, Sophia Bent.
As a minister's wife, Mrs. Ella was a devote Christian, often helping her husband during his twenty three years of service. She was an avid gardener, an avid scrabble player, and an amazing cook, known for her delicious coconut cake. She was often found playing games with her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her family, friends, and life in general. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved family and often would extend her affection over others. Those who knew her will never forget her.
Graveside services for Mrs. Ella were held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Patterson, La.
