She was born on Sept. 8, 1941, in Olbersdorf, Germany, to Hans and Stefanie (Hirschbrich) Arta. She married James Bennington on July 7, 1965, in Wiesbaden Biebrich, Germany. He survives.
Hannelore was also survived by her beloved cat, Maddie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ingrid Braun.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Lacon-Sparland Methodist Quilters Group.
Hannelore was proud of becoming a United States citizen and considered it a great honor to vote.
She was full of energy, very artistic, loved animals, gardening, quilting, traveling (Vega$), shopping, spending time with family, and playing cards with all of her friends at the Happiness Center in Toluca.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
