She was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Pine Grove.
Betty was a member of Reedsville EC Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Tennessee, and later Seymour United Methodist Church. She belonged to various church groups, was active in the Order of The Eastern Star, Lions Club, and Orwigsburg Seniors. Betty enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and world traveling. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating, bowling and was often seen on the back of a motorcycle.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Luckenbill; parents, Fred and Mary Leffler Schrader; sisters, Helen Unger and Pauline Schrader; brother, Lynn Schrader; great-grandson, Damian Warnick.
Betty is survived by her husband, Paul F. Boyer; children, Larry Luckenbill Sr. and wife, Carol, Richard Luckenbill Jr. and wife, Donna, Laurel Englert and husband, John, Lisa Weaver and husband, Michael; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Schrader; sisters, Verna Sanders, Catherine Wolff and husband, Kenneth; brother-in-law, William Unger; a host of extended loving family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethesda Reedsville EC Church, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Reedsville Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
