Helen Grady, 90, of Mahanoy City, passed away Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Mahanoy City, April 19, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Cech Molnar and John Burns.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She attended local schools and, at one time, worked at City Shirt.
She enjoyed sewing and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John Moran, Joseph "Josie," Steve and Vince "Mitzy"; a sister, Mary Molnar.
Surviving are a daughter, Joanne Lapps, Houston, Texas; a son, Joseph Grady Jr., Sellersville; a sister, Violet Stankiewitch, Mahanoy City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City, with interment following in Assumption BVM Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., Mahanoy City. Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc. has charge of arrangements.
