Harold Anderson left this life Saturday, September 12, 2015 to join his beloved Lounette in the arms of the Lord. Separated before death by Alzheimer's disease from which they both suffered late in life, they are now together again forever.
Mr. Anderson was born October 21, 1930 in rural Coffee County, Alabama to the late James Thomas and Mattie (Hughes) Anderson. He graduated from Rehobeth High School, class of 1948, and married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Lounette Watford, in 1950. He and Lounette worked and played together as one for the rest of their lives. Mr. Anderson was devoted to his church, family and friends. Working for a short time as an auto mechanic, he then worked as a welder for Hedstrom Union building bicycles and swing sets. Upon the closing of the Hedstrom factory, he moved to Lufkin in 1970 to work with Boles Food Market until he retired in 1992. He continued to work after retirement, founding H&L Sales, an advertising business he and Lounette ran from their home on Lake Sam Rayburn, but the work never interfered with the fishing. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Shirley Creek Mission.
Survivors include his son, Terry James Anderson and wife Kelly of Garland; daughter, Garion Taylor and husband Lindsay of Lufkin; grandsons, James Auburn Anderson, Zachary Joseph Taylor, and Jay Austin Taylor; sister, Ann Anderson Boles of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lounette (Watford) Anderson; two brothers; and one sister.
