Charles Morris Burrows was born in Pennsylvania. The son of Joseph and Sara (Morris) Burrows.

As a young man he and a friend, Charles E. Davis rode from Pennsylvania to Lexington Kentucky and then to what is now Lee County Kentucky. They courted and married sisters. Charles Burrows married Damairis Hieronymus and Charles Davis married Nancy Hieronymus. The Hieronymus sisters were the daughters of Samuel and Sally (White) Hieronymus.

Charles and Damairis (Hieronymus) Burrows were married 11 September 1855.

They had the following children;
1. James S. Burrows: born: July 17, 1856 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, died: July 4, 1936 in Beeville, Bee County Texas.
2. Joseph Charles Burrows: born: April 4, 1858 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, died: April 5, 1946 in Beeville, Bee County, Texas.
3. Anne Damaris Burrows.

There is no stone marker for Charles Burrows, according to the Book, 'The Hieronymus Story, 1985', both Charles and Damairis are buried in this cementery.

There are many unmarked stones in this cementery.
