Bobby Ozeane Barnett, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Barnett, son of Joe M. and Artie Bell (Sartin) Barnett, was born August 20, 1938, in Booneville, Mississippi. He had been a sawmiller and cattle farmer. Mr. Barnett enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended the Church of Christ.
On May 14, 1960, he was married to Shirley McAbee in Waukegan, Illinois, and she survives.
Also surviving are four children: Bobby Ray (and Sheila) Barnett of Doniphan, Shirley Janet (and Lee) Boyd of Corning, Arkansas, Joan Jenette (and Charles Keith) Young of Clinton, Utah, and Donna Jenaeh (and Jamie) Lamkin of Doniphan; one sister, Vera Husley of Cordova, Alabama; one brother, Alton Barnett of Doniphan; 12 grandchildren, Bobby Ray Barnett II, Jared Heath Barnett, Janet Marie Neff, Krysta English Merrill, Sara Beth Boyd, Christopher Keith Horne, Noah Hunter Horne, Kyler Ellis Young, Hans Sellemyer, Megan Sellemyer, Hannah Sellemyer and Lauren Sellemyer; and two great-grandchildren, Paityn English Merrill and Saige McKenna Merrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kathy Barnett, and several brothers and sisters.
Burial will follow in the Pope Chapel Cemetery.
