J. E. Jr., the little five months old baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Abbott, of the Oak Ridge section, died Friday afternoon, June 21st at five o'clock from catarrh of the stomach. The little fellow had been sick for three weeks with whooping cough, but no fear was entertained as to his condition until four days before his death when catarrh of the stomach developed. And despite all that skill physicians and the care of loving hands could do the little cherub was wafted away to a heavenly hoe.
The funeral services were conducted at Oak Ridge cemetery Saturday afternoon by Rev. Thos. H Thomson, of the Methodist church, Tifton. the Pall bearers were Messrs. J. B. Sauls, West Johnson, Henry Webb and G. W. Coleman.
Mr. and Mrs. Abbot have the deepest sympathy of the entire section in their sad loss.
