COLCHESTER, VT. - Lucille "Lu" (D'Anthony) Agnew, passed away on Sunday, January 20th 2013 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

She was born in Red Bank, N.J., on September 5th 1942, the sixth child of Philomena and Lucian D'Anthony, who predeceased her.

Lu was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, Class of 1960, and Wood Secretarial College.

At Red Bank Catholic she was a cheerleader and drum majorette.

In 1962, Lu married Christopher Weinheimer and in 1970 they moved to New Hampshire.

Lu became an avid skier as well as a tennis player.

She learned to camp and they spent family time at a rustic cabin in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. There, her love of the outdoors and nature was nourished.

In 1975, they relocated to Colchester, Vt.

In 1988, Lu married George Agnew, where they lived at Mallard Drive for 25 years.

George and Lu enjoyed their retirement years together traveling to Florida, Military Car shows, and spending time with their family, including trips to New Zealand and Montana.

She was predeceased by her sister, Carmella; and her brothers, Nino and Andy.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25th 2013 at the Saint John Vianney Church on 160 Hinesburg Road in South Burlington.

Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Burlington, Vt.
