SOUTH BURLINGTON - Marion Louise Abare, of South Burlington, passed away peacefully Wednesday night, Jan. 12, 2011.
A funeral mass is planned at St. John Vianney Church, 160 Hinesburg Rd., South Burlington at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011.

SO. BURLINGTON - Marion L. Abare, 88, of So. Burlington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at her daughter Debbie (Jay) Ruppel's home.
Marion was born in Manchester, the daughter of George F. and Marion A. (Van Buskirk) Farrell.
Marion was a kind and committed mother, grandmother and wife. She married Roger Abare of So. Burlington on June 25, 1952 and devoted herself to providing a loving and secure home for their three children. They were married for 59 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Abare; and many siblings.
Her surviving family includes her husband, Roger of So. Burlington; daughters, Debbie (Jay) Ruppel and Doreen (Peter) Allison of So. Burlington; four grandchildren, Capt Liane (Capt Rob) Martin, Sarah (Dan) Evans, Michael and Patrick Ruppel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at 4 p.m. at St. John Vianney Parrish, So. Burlington.
