North Ferrisburg - William F. Abare, 73, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday. He was born in Charlotte, Feb. 28, 1892, the son of David and Mary Jane Bissonette Abare. He was a member at of Mt. Carmel Parish in East Charlotte and of the Vergennes American Legion Post 14. Mr. Abare leaves his wife, Anna Doner Abare; two sons, Roger W. Abare of South Burlington and Edward R. Abare of Vergennes; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Little of South Burlington, Mrs. Pearl Clark of Burlington, Mrs. Constance Derby of Irvington N.Y., and Mrs. Ruth Pierce of Japan; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson; also two sister, Mrs. Sadie Miller of Shelburne and Mrs. Clara Francis of Burlington; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Mt. Carmel Church in East Charlotte. Interment will be in Resurrection Park, South Burlington. Friend may call at the Larrow Funeral Home in Vergennes, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
