Shirley June Ashburn, 81, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 17, 2015. She was born on August 8, 1934 in Mineral Ridge, OH, daughter to the late Herbert and Pearl (McCormick) Ashburn.

Shirley was a 1952 Mineral Ridge High School graduate and worked for 44 years, 39 of which with American Flange & Mfg. Co before retiring in August 1996. Shirley loved retirement and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, working on her computer, and going out with friends and family. She loved southern gospel music and her nephew and niece, Brad and Debbie's quartet, Circle of Friends. She also loved her cats, Poodie and Buddy.

Shirley belonged to the Raritan Road Baptist Church in Cranford, NJ and attended the Church of Christ in Mineral Ridge.

Left to carry on Shirley's memory is her brother, Clarence (Ann) Ashburn of Roaming Shores, OH; four nephews, Rodger (Linda) Ashburn of Madison, OH, Bruce (Diane) Ashburn of Jefferson, OH, Richard (Rita) Ashburn of Perry, OH, and Bradley (Deborah) Ashburn of Painesville, OH; her very good friends, Catherine and Gerald Miskovich of Bordentown, NJ, and Shirley and Ronald Stade of Elgin, Illinois; and numerous treasured family members and friends.

Interment will take place at Kerr Cemetery.
