WAREHAM - Sandra Rae (Libert) Abbott, 61, of Wareham, died at home, Thursday, March 4, 2004 after a long illness. She was the wife of Carlton E. Abbott, Sr. and the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Eisenhower) Libert.
She was born in Niles, OH on August 21, 1942 and lived in Niles, Ohio before moving to Wareham.
Mrs. Abbott was a homemaker.
She enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her widower; 9 sons, Carlton E. Abbott, Jr of Belfast, ME, Michael Abbott, Darren Abbott, Steven Abbott, Richard Abbott, Dana Abbott, Anthony Abbott, Christopher Abbott, Dale Holmes all of Wareham; 4 daughters, Barbara Abbott, Kimberly Abbott, Tania Abbott, Nicole Abbott-Gaucher all of Wareham; 23 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and many loving family in Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 in the First Congregational Church, Wareham. Arrangements are by the Stott, Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham. Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southcoast Hospice, 28 Sconticut Neck Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
