Mrs. Mary Susan Adams, 84, of 308 Grand Avenue, died yesterday at the Cumberland Nursing Home and Convalescent Center where she had been a patient seven months.

Born in Culpepper, Va., she was a daughter of late Albert Silas and Mary Frances (Groves) Newlon. Her husband, William Alexander Adams, preceded her in death. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lorena Thompson, Washington; Mrs. Ruth McFarland, Painesville, Ohio; a son, William Marshall Adams, city; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Silcox-Marritt Funeral Residence where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.

A service will be conducted there Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. A. R. Major officiating. Burial will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
