Leah Joy Mikeworth, 77, of Robinson, died at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at her residence following a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Porterville Congregational Christian Church in Porterville with the Rev. Leland “Neal” Culp officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Chapel Cemetery, Robinson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the Porterville Congregational Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, c/o Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN.

Mrs. Mikeworth was born on September 18, 1929, in Hutsonville, daughter of Chester and Laura (Kenderdine) Culp. She married James L. Mikeworh on December 24, 1946. He died August 29, 1992. She was manager and waitress of Quail Creek Country Club Restaurant and Crawford Memorial Hospital Staff employee.

She was a member of the Porterville Congregational Christian Church, Royal Neighbors of America, and American Legion Auxiliary E.M. Coulter Post #69, Robinson.

Surviving are sons, James “Jim” and Susan Mikeworth of Villa Grove, Jeff and Cheryl Mikeworth of Robinson, John and Brenda Mikeworth of Champaign, and Jack Mikeworth of Arlington, TX; daughter Jane and Warren McIntosh of Champaign; son-in-law Roger D. Trout of Springfield; daughter-in-law and spouse Debbie and John Daugherty of Hutsonville; brothers, Martin Culp of Decatur, Cleon and Hazel Culp of Willow Hill, Leland “Neal” and Sheryl Culp of Robinson, Marlin Culp and Dee and Jeanette Culp, all of Robinson; sisters, Mary and Doug Wood of Millstadt, Ava “Preach” Seaney, Treva and Ray Baud, and Fran and Mike Dorn, all of Robinson; sisters-in-law, Mary Mikeworth of Robinson, Lois Robbins of Palestine, and Irene McKay of Florida; twelve grandchildren; two great-granchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James “Jim”, daughter Karra Trout, brothers Lyle and Larry Culp, two infant brothers and two infant sisters.
