A graveside funeral for Charles Edward Adams, 71, of Hampton, was held at 11 am Wednesday in H.C. Smither Cemetery. He died Monday, Aug 19, 1991 in Sentara Hampton General Hospital.
Mr. Adams, a native of Newport News, was a member of Mathews Baptist Church. He was retired from the Hastings Raydist Co. of Hampton, and was a member of the National Maritime Union and the Masters, Mates and Pilots Association.
Survivors include a stepson, Raymond N Garrett of Hampton.
