Norfolk - Mrs. Georgie M. Ames, 78, of Norfolk, died Saturday at her home.
A native of Mathews, she had been a Norfolk resident for the past 50 years and was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church of Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude A. Davis, and a son, Benjamin H. Ames Jr., both of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle M. Pugh of Mathews; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, by the Rev. C. Edward Pruitt of Central United Methodist Church of Mathews.
Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in H.C. Smither Funeral Home, Mathews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
