Mary Ann Alvarez, 89, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 after an illness. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Alvarez was born in Greenville, SC a daughter of the late Gary Nelson Robinson and Mary Ann Pinson Robinson. She is also predeceased by her husband, J.C. Alvarez; son, Larry Alvarez; brothers, G.N. Robinson, Pete Robinson; and sisters, Frances Jones and Alice Goodenough. She was a homemaker and member of Marion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Alvarez is survived by sons, Carew Alvarez (Billie) of Rock Hill, SC, and Will Alvarez (Betty) of Marion, SC; daughters, JoAnn Walden (Jimmy) of Pawleys Island, SC and Mary Lynn Jones (Charles) of Marion, SC; daughter-in-law, Vickie Alvarez of Marion, SC; brother, Paul Robinson of Greenville, SC; sister, Lydia Bobo of Simpsonville, SC; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
