MARION - Arthur Ammons, 60, a motel operator, died Saturday in a local hospital. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Ammons was born in Marion County, a son of the late Walton Ammons and Mrs. Viola Brown Ammons.
Surviving are one son, David Mike Ammons of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Dian Davis of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Demont Ammons of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. R. A. Stevenson of Marion and Mrs. Ella Kate Clark of Florence; and 2 grandchildren.
