Jose Jacinto Gonzales del Abreu was born in Cuba, but his generation of history began in Colon and Barcalona, Spain. He spent 10 years in prison at the Horn of Africa for being a part of the Spanish American War. He taught himself how to read and write while in prison and after being released,he became a master of teaching in cuba where he would meet his forever love Eloisa M Garcia. They married in Key West and he was the professor at the San Carlos School from 1901 to 1935 when he passed. He was called the "Educator" and respected by all.
