"June Atwell, 83, of Center. Died on Tuesday, November 24, at her resisdence.

She was a Hart County native and a long time and faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher for 55 years. She was an acomplished artist and had taught art lessons in her home for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Elizabeth Devore Long. Three brothers Carroll Long, Billy Long, and Oren Long.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years Jimmie Atwell. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs Atwell will be Sunday, November 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Houk Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 28, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then again starting at 9 a.m. until time of service on Sunday."
