Vera Hall Adams of North Ogden, Utah passed away at the age of 80 on February 5, 2013 after enduring health problems associated with age. She was surrounded by family during her last few days. She was born in Ogden, Utah on June 13, 1932 to Earl Elisha Hall and Helen Maurine Shaw.

Vera grew up on a farm in North Ogden and learned the value of hard work at a young age. She graduated from the old Weber High. She loved her association with her long-time high school girlfriends who got together almost every month for 60 years. One of her favorite past times was playing softball.

Vera was married in the Salt Lake Temple to Douglas M. Adams on October 20, 1954. She worked at Amalgamated Sugar Company as a secretary and accountant but gave up her career to raise her four children.

Being an active member of the LDS Church, Vera served a stake mission in the Ogden area and a service mission with her husband in the Ogden, Jackson Ward. For many years she served as a Primary and Sunday School teacher as well as being a very dedicated visiting teacher. One of her most rewarding church callings was working at the computer center researching names for temple work.

Vera was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her life's work and she enjoyed attending their activities. She made it a point to make her children look well groomed. She hand scrubbed the white socks to keep them sparkling clean. She ironed more clothes than other mothers would even slightly consider. She enjoyed musicals and plays, and made sure her children received piano lessons. She had a great sense of humor and was fun to talk to. She was extremely organized and kept a spotless house. She had fine tastes and lived her life with exactness.

Vera is survived by her husband Douglas M. Adams, her children and their spouses: Lori and Darrell Martin, Kirk D. and Corey Adams, Eric D. and Karin Adams; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Michael D. Adams and grandson Tyler J. Adams.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service, Thursday, February 7 at 1:00p.m., at the North Ogden Cemetery, at 550 E. 2850 N.
