He was born June 19, 1906 in Escalante, Utah a son of George and Ann Spencer Alvey.
He married Rita May Behunin on December 28, 1933 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in St. George LDS Temple.
He was a member of the North Ogden 7th Ward and had served as a home teacher.
Surviving are his children, Leon B. Alvey, San Francisco, California, Mrs James (Yuvonne) Nixdorf, North Ogden; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one brother, Royel Alvey Tropic, Utah.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
