Joe honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Aiello married the love of his life Janet Cook on December 15, 1972 at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains, NY.

Joe was first a civil engineer, then a middle school math teacher at Hommocks Middle School in Mamaroneck, NY for 23 years before retiring in 1986. Following his retirement he worked at Pin Oak Construction in Red Hook, NY as a civil engineer.

Mr. Aiello had a great passion for football. He played his entire life through high school, college and with the US Army. He also enjoyed watching the NY Giants and the NY Yankees. He and his wife enjoyed summers at their Copake home.

Examples are, "Easter time is the time for eggs and the time for eggs is Easter time," "Butterflies with painted wings, don't you wish that you could sing like the birdies in the Spring? Don't you wish that you could fly like the birdies in the sky?" and "Chicken in the car and the car can't go spells Chicago."
