Kris Lee Abbott, 43, of Hampstead, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013. Born June 2, 1970, he was the son of Russell Edgar "Bud or Pop" Abbott and Virginia Lee "Ginny" Grote Abbott, of Upperco.
He was the husband of Dawn Michelle Woollard Abbott.
He was a graduate of Franklin High School and had worked as a foreman for an underground utility company. He was an amateur radio operator and his call sign was KB3CJS.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are children Jennifer Renae and Eric Lee Abbott; and siblings Kirk R. Abbott, of Reisterstown, and Kimberly L. Abbott, of Hampstead.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
