Henry Leroy "Bud" Armacost, 52, of Reisterstown, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at his home, after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 24, 1951, in Baltimore, he was the son of Anita Belt Armacost and the late William Armacost. He was the longtime companion of Joan E. Schaefer.

Mr. Armacost was a 1970 graduate of Franklin High School and drove a fuel oil truck for W.D. Groff & Son for 31 years. He was a lifetime member of Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company and was also a member of Glyndon Fire Company.

Mr. Armacost was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam.

Surviving, in addition to his companion and his mother, are children Tammy and Michelle Armacost and Teri Thompson; grandmother Emma Belt; grandson Andy Thompson; sisters and brothers-in-law Cathy and Jerry Hastings, and Susan and Phil Dutterer; brothers and sister-in-law Cleveland and Terri Armacost, Charles Armacost and Scott Armacost.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Entombment will be in Evergreen Mausoleum.
