Catherine "Irene" Arbaugh, 83, of Westminster, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Golden Living in Westminster. Born February 13, 1932 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Addie B. Morelock Cook and Carl Easton Cook. She was the wife of John D. Arbaugh for 51 years. She was an avid gardener, cook and baker. She enjoyed watching all her children and grandchildren playing sports. She was a lover of animals, but her dogs always held a special place in heart. She will be remembered by many by always welcoming everyone in her home known by many as "the farm." She was retired from Modern Ideal Dry Cleaners, were she worked for 36 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by daughters Mary Burkholder and son-in-law Doug Burkholder, Janet Mathias, sons Chuck Taylor and daughter -in- law Larie Taylor and Denny Taylor and companion Vickie Packer, grandsons Mat Mathias and Zac Taylor and granddaughters Jacie Mathias-Jones and Megan Taylor (predeceased) and extended family Courtney Wunderlich. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Anne C. Durboraw, Pastor of St. Luke's (Winter's) Church, officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Carroll County Humane Society or Megan Taylor Foundation, c/o The Community Foundation of Carroll County, 255 Clifton Blvd., Suite 313 Westminster, MD 21157.
