Nina Myrtie Aberts, of Manchester, died December 27, 2010, in Westminster, Maryland.

Born December 22, 1914, in Sparta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thurmond Calvin Cox and the late Bertie Jane Blevins Cox. She was the wife of the late John William Aberts.

Mrs. Aberts was a member of Millers United Methodist Church.

She worked as a seamstress for many years. Nina enjoyed making quilts and loved Maryland crab cakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Aberts is survived by children, Charles L. Aberts and wife Joan of Forest Hill, MD, George W. Aberts and wife Sharon of Hampstead, MD, Nina Jane Richards and husband Wendell of Hampstead, MD, James R. Aberts and wife Paula of Upperco, MD, and Luther C. Aberts and wife Carol of Hampstead, MD, brother; Millard Cox of Stewartstown; sister; Edna Maines of Dublin, MD; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-grea-grandchildren

She was predeceased by son, Donald E. Aberts; daughter, Phyllis A. Miller; brothers, Floyd Cox, Dillard Cox, Vance Cox and Thurmond Cox; sisters, Lue Sewell, Ruth Holmes and Zola Martin.

Interment: Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
