Born July 11, 1933, in Hampden, she was the daughter of the late Linwood Thorpe and Mary Bryant Thorpe.
Mrs. Archer was a member of the Westminster Moose and the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn J. Jackson and Harriet O. Riley and Mark Fulton of Arendtsville; a son Glenn "George" Ebersole of York; a sister, Etta Fifer; a brother, Wayne Thorpe; her grandchildren, Brandi L. Tedder and husband, Jamie, Barry E. Markle and wife, Becky; four great-grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Douglas H. Ebersole; and 11 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be held at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, Manchester, at 11 a.m., July 14, 2011, with the Rev. Mindy Coates officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
