Roger was retired from O Ames after 30 years. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a U.S. Army Verteran serving in Vietnam in 1971. Roger was a Baptist.
Roger loved spending time with his grandchildren whom he nicknamed “Little Red” and “Bug.” He also loved the game of golf.
Survivors include wife, Margaret “Peggy” Wigal Bell; his sons, Steven Scott Bell and Brian (Krista) Bell; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Kyra Bell; two brothers, Billy and Bobby Bell; sisters, Loretta Bayer and Betty Beck.
He was preceded in death by brother, Wayne Bell; and brother-in-law, Bobby Garver.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitaion will be one hour prior to the service from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery where military rites will be held by the American Legion Post 15.
