August 17, 1977 - January 11, 2017 Joseph M. Abramo was born in Fairfax, VA, attended Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA and graduated from Blue Ride School in St. George, VA. He graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 2001 and moved to Los Angeles where he received his JD from Southwestern University School of Law in 2004. While in California, he pursued his love of magic by joining the Magic Castle, where he ultimately won the Olympic Gold Medal for close-up magic. In addition to magic, Joseph had great interest in movies, but a real passion for motorcycles. He was a member of the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club, joining them for their weekly rides. In recent years, he became an instructor and coach at the BMW Motorcycle RawHyde Academy, the premier training facility for off-road adventures. In his "spare" time, he loved snowboarding in Mammoth. Joe was currently working for Aligne Weath Preservation and Insurance Services as a financial advisor, focusing on comprehensive financial planning. He is survived by his parents, Vincent and Wren Abramo of Arlington, VA and his cousins, Sarah Provancher Weber, and Christopher Skorija. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Westwood Village Memorial Park, 1218 Glendon Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90024. There will be an additional memorial service in Arlington, VA on Saturday, January 28th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Blue Ridge School, St. George, VA 22935.
