Michael George Afferino, 70, Left this world on January 17th 2017 Born to Chris and Donna Jean Afferino in Fresno, CA, April 2nd 1946. He Graduated Roosevelt High Class of 1964, enlisted in the Navy 1966 and served through 1971 when he was honorably discharged. He then received his college degree from Fresno City College. He entered the meat cutting trade and worked along side his father for several years. Then retiring in 2010 where he began fighting the good fight against his diagnosed illness.
He was preceded in death by his: Father: Chris Afferino, Mother:Donna Jean Afferino, Stepmother: Linda Afferino.
He leaves behind his loving Wife, Susan Afferino of 35 years Daughter: Donnavan Heather Rawls, Son: Michael Christopher Afferino "Adria", Daughter: Ashley Suzanne Afferino 5 Grand children: Brooke, Jaden, Joseph, Isabel, Grace Sisters: Jeanne Padgett "Ben", Valerie Serpa "Larry", Connie Ferreria, Christina Sandefer "Ken", Aunt: Stella Lambetecchio, "Charlie" And his heart was full of love for all of his nieces and nephews.
He had zest for life and spent most of his free time taking care of his family in every way possible. He thoroughly enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping. You could catch him in a fishing boat at Shasta, or rolling a RAZR in the dunes of pismo.
Services will be held 1pm at Ivers & Alcorn Tuesday January 24th, 2017 3050 N. Winton Way Atwater Ca 95301 Burial to follow at Winton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any local Hinds Hospice.
