Chauncey D. Ammons, 65, well known Perry Twp. farmer and stockman, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 9 :45 A. M. Monday, Jan. 30, 1961, at his home, Mt. Morris, RD 1, Mr. Ammons had not been in good health but his death was quite unexpected.
A resident of Perry Twp. Much of his life, he was born March 3, 1895 in Monongalia Co., W. Va., a son of the late Simon and Amy Masters Ammons. Besides following farming he had worked for sometime at the DuPont factory in Morgantown. He was a member of Olive Methodist Church at Pentress, W. Va.

He was married June 17, 1916 to Mary Lemley, who survives with one son, Clyde Ammons of Mt. Morris RD 1; one daughter, Miss Alberta Ammons at home; one grandson, Albert Ammons, and one sister, Mrs. Winnifer Clark of Mt. Morris RD 1, One brother is deceased.
