Former Shell Lake resident, died suddenly at Ashland. Funeral services were held at Spooner, friday with the Rev. Philpott, Methodist, officiating.
Born at Atlanta, Wi. and came to this locality as a child. Married Janice Gilson, November 1940. They resided in Spooner where he was employed by as a welder on the Railroad. Recently he was transferred to Ashland, where he was employed as crossing watchman.
Surviving are his wife, a son and daughter, his father, Anton Akey, Canada; his mother, Mrs. Charles Bjorklund, Spooner, a sister Ruth and two brothers, Frank and Elmer.
