Annis: - Andrew A. Annis, well known farmer of Downs township, died quite suddenly last Friday afternoon of an apoplectic seizure which came upon him while attending the district school election in the Atteberry district, of whose board he was a member. While taking part in the discussion, which was somewhat animated at the time, it is supposed he became over-excited. He had not been in good health for some weeks and in his overwrought condition fell victim to the stroke. The funeral was held from the Atteberry chapel at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Staley, of the U.B. church at Corbin, officiating, and interment was made in the Atteberry cemetery.

Mr. Annis is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Stands of Perth and Constance, at home, and sons, John Annis of Kansas city; A.A. Annis jr., of Independence, Missouri, and Lytton Annis at home. His father, John Annis 98 years, lives at Kaw City, Oklahoma. He also leaves four brothers, L.P. Annis, Twin Falls, Idaho; Oscar Annis of Kansas City, and George and Emmett of Kansas City, and sisters, Mrs. H. Barnum of Kansas City; Mrs. May Thompson, of Perth; Mrs. Eckles, of Prescott, Arizona. Mr. Annis has been a resident of Downs township for the past seven years, moving here with his family from Kaw City, Oklahoma, at that time.
